Ryan Miller
Co-Founder and
Hospitalitarian

Ryan’s career in the corporate and luxury transportation business started in California, at the age of 21, shortly after his 4-year tour of duty with the Marines. Having served with the 1st Marine Division and 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Special Operations, which deployed throughout the Middle East and Far East, Ryan had experienced some of the worst and some of the best this world had to offer. Much was learned and it was an experience that will forever mold his view on the world and the business world he was about to jump into.

Eager to learn and with a long term plan, Ryan started in the promotional products business, in sales, as an account executive with The Singleton Company in Westwood, CA. Ryan liked the idea of creating a tailored product and message for the customer, for their business, to their liking. Using his meticulous eye for design and his ability to interact with his customers naturally, he developed a following of customers whom entrusted Ryan to get it done, make it happen and deliver something unique for their businesses. He was guided in his approach on business by a few very succesful business owners, in very different businesses. One was a radical Dutch owner of a globally branded inline skate company, another, an owner of a mortgage brokerage firm in Beverly Hills and an owner of a nationally branded seasonings company. Ryan’s first mentors and to this day, grateful for their advice and coaching.

Ryan’s introduction to the corporate travel and luxury transportation industries came when one of his promotional product clients, a boutique franchise of Budget Car Rental, “The Luxury Edition”, came to Ryan with a unique proposition… continue selling promotional products for The Singleton Company and help them out in building their luxury car rental marketing and sales. He did just that and fell in love with the transportation & travel industry. In time Ryan was the VP of Sales & Marketing. As Ryan’s customers demands evolved, so did Ryan.

A friend, client and mentor, the owner of one of the largest NY based corporate travel management companies, introduced him to the owner of Dav El Chauffeured Transportation. Ryan was hired as the Director of Entertainment & Media Sales and over his five year tenure became the Director of National Sales, covering all customer categories and industry categories, in most major markets throughout North America and abroad. This invaluable exposure to a diverse client base led Ryan to where he is today.

Ryan was fortunate enough to have learned from some of most well known leaders in business whom he was able to watch, spend time with, and learn from. These great people helped shape his foundation and passion for building relationships, knowing what the clients wants and delivering services and products that were personal and mean something to them. Even though their business’s were totally different, they all had a two commonalities: a passion for what they did every day and a personal connection with their clients... and team. The most intriguing aspect to Ryan was that they had all built their careers from the ground up.

One of those early mentors, from more then a decade ago, whom was the most radical of them all, is Ryan’s partner today, Mark Heineken. Together, creating a new category in the travel industry, “The Art of Transportism”.

Today... Ryan’s clients include some of the most influential executive and celebrity personalities around the world. Senior executives, publicists, marketing agents, professional athletes, corporate travel directors, corporate meeting planners, international meeting planners, hotels and resorts have come know that Ryan is meticulous in following up to ensure the very best care, expected service and hospitality is provided to the customer.

Ryan’s energetic personality and intense demeanor is balanced by his other personal passions such as ink drawing, oil painting, yoga, beach running, surfing and muay thai kickboxing. Of course his greatest, proudest achievement of all is his 2 young daughters. Ryan and his girls reside in Huntington Beach, CA.

Mark Heineken
Co-Founder and
Chief Brand Officer

Mark has vast lifestyle experience having worked in one of the most competitive marketing environments in business today. His roots in Action Sports have given him a marketing edge rarely found in other industries. An industry with extremely talented people, which has to reinvent itself multiple times a year.

After starting as a professional skater he soon moved into a role in R&D for companies like Rollerblade and Roces, helping to develop a new spin on the extremely popular sport of rollerblading in the early 1990’s. Disappointed with the corporate commitment to his concepts, Mark decided to start his own company to pursuit his vision of the future of Rollerblading. Senate became one of the 1990’s success stories and launched a whole new Category in action sports called “aggressive skating” To date Senate is still the market Leader in the aggressive skating industry. Senate was sold in 2000, after which he took a role at one of the leading sporting goods suppliers, Bravo sports.

During his time as the VP of marketing at Bravo Sports, Mark had the opportunity to expand his work to dealing with some of the greatest marketing companies in the world. Working on licenses with Mattel and Nickelodeon had opened his eyes to unlimited possibilities outside of the sporting goods market. Besides designing products for companies like Vans, She-Devil and many other lifestyle brands, he developed skills in rethinking the way consumers purchase products. Soon he started to create visual presentations, POP and Planograms for some of the nations top retailers like Toys R’ Us, Lowes, Home Depot, Target, The Sports Authority, Pepboys among many others.

His creative and different outlook on marketing and design, has led to numerous design awards.

Working as a marketing consultant, Mark got the pleasure of working with some of the open minded companies in the Transportation and hospitality industry. While creating a new approach and philosophy on how the business was handled, he ran into the usual corporate resistance to change anything. This was all he needed; it was time to change the industry as we know it today. Together with long time friend Ryan Miller, he creates his latest venture “Heineken-Miller” The Art of Transportism…!!

Throughout Mark’s career he has always maintained the same philosophy, which is still valid to date. “Be different and focus on what the customer really wants….” Known as one of the most controversial people in the industry, Mark has pushed many buttons. From nationwide news coverage on any major network, to changing the way products were sold. Mark has left his signature on many now standard marketing concepts.

Currently Mark lives in California’s paradise “Huntington Beach”, with his beautiful wife and sense of Reason, Farrah.

Mark has attended “Kweek School for the Handel” in Amsterdam, where he graduated with a degree in Marketing. He later decided to specialize in Buzz and Shock Marketing, which connected more with his personal vision of the future.

“Changing the World, One Step at a Time.”

Kevin Gillan
Creative Team Member
“The Chef"

Though only 26 years old, Kevin Gillan has gained enormous amounts of life and work experience. His background lies in one of the most design competitive industries in business today, Action Sports. This has given him a creative vision, drive, and worldly perspective that can carry him into any other industry out there today.

Growing up in Arizona, Kevin had mixed influences with a Dental Specialist as a Father and an Artist as a Mother. As a result, at a young age he took up an interest in art and design. It all started with sketches of super heros and little inventions like the “pencil box alarm system.”

Following his interest for design and creativity, Kevin took a few art & photography classes in High School. At this time though something else caught his eye, a pair of Rollerblades and he soon discovered that this could be a whole new outlet of his artistic expression…at least for now.

Spending 8 years as a Professional Skater with top company’s like Senate, Kevin traveled the world, and competed in competitions such as the NBC Gravity Games and the New York Goodwill Games. He even appeared in an HBO/Showtime documentary called “It’s all good,” which featured top amateurs on their path to turning Pro. After years of touring, filming for videos, and receiving many Pro model Skates, T-shirts, and wheels; Kevin knew skating wouldn’t be there forever and he wanted to do more.

A new passion for marketing and design lit inside Kevin and soon he was working for his skate sponsor Senate, alongside his boss and good friend Mark Heineken. With the mentoring from Mark and quick learning abilities; Kevin soon became a vital part of Senate’s line creation, product development, packaging, and even marketing! Excelling in one of the most competitive markets, Kevin learned how important it is to give the consumer what they really want. Even after expanding his work to dealing with other skate brands such as World Industries and Kryptonics, he still wasn’t satisfied.

With more knowledge and determination, Kevin kicked his artisic and creative skills into high gear. He knew that Bravo Sports, Senate’s parent company, was already one of the worlds leading sporting goods suppliers, and would be expecting nothing but high quality work. Kevin worked with Mark Heineken, the V.P. of Marketing, to design some of the most creative visual merchandising, POP and planogram presentations for many of the brands within Bravo Sports.

In less than 5 years Kevin has gone from designing T-shirts and bag’s for small skate retailers, to now changing the way consumers see Sporting goods and Outdoor packaging. Some of Kevin’s packaging designs sell in top retail outlets such as; Kmart, Target, Costco, Wal-Mart, Sports Chalet, Home Depot, and even Sears Canada!

When Mark Heineken asked Kevin to join the creative team of Heineken-Miller, he was excited to expand his work and take on another challenge in his professional career. Ready to bring a new element of visual design and creativity to the world of Transportation, Kevin has a new focus they like to call…The Art of Transportism!

Sean Gillan
VP of Operations

Executive assistant to Ryan Miller

Sean’s valuable experience in Sales and Marketing started about five years ago in Phoenix Arizona. Sean Graduated College in 2002. After doing so, he researched the Design industry and thought they lacked the personal touch to establish a long-term connection with the customer.  Sean wanted a to start a design firm who concentrated more on the clients. Pike & Gillan Design LLC was born.

Sean graduated from The Art Institute of Phoenix where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design.  After graduating Sean wanted to start his own company to better understand what it takes to run a business and grow in the industry.  He started a design firm with a close friend of his, Chris Pike who had recently graduated with a degree in software development

P&G Design had both ends of the business covered.  Having a creative and an IT department.   It was a great opportunity to branch out and work with a different variety of Industries.  Medical, Accounting Firms, Real Estate and Development, Consulting firms, Non-profit organizations, and etc…  P&G creative design provided, corporate branding, package design, web design, as well as consulting.  P&G IT department was able to maintain corporate databases, create custom databases and handle any other IT problems a company may have encountered.

With this experience Sean was able to thrive and retain the knowledge to maintain a business. Networking, project outlines, and an understanding of the client’s needs. In which Sean was able to retain new clientele, maintain and establish relationships with his clients.  After four year’s in the Graphic Design industry Sean wanted something more in his career. Something could P&G could not offer.  He loved the creative aspect of the job but his favorite, was meeting with clients, networking, and building new business relationships.

Shortly after feeling this way, Sean received a call from Kevin the “Chief” and Mark Heineken.  After interviewing with Mark and Ryan.  Sean became the newest addition to the Heineken Miller team.  Sean now has the two best mentors anyone could ask for.  Both radical innovators, Ryan in Sales and transportation, Mark in Business and marketing.

Sean recently moved from Tempe, AZ to work for Heineken Miller and now lives in beautiful Huntington Beach, California.  Where he is close to his brother Kevin and younger sister Molly.
